Prior to joining Community Legal Aid in 2017, Nicole was a research assistant at the Greater Boston Legal Services housing unit. During her second year of law school, she was a certified Supreme Judicial Court rule 3:03 law student intern through her school's Juvenile Rights Advocacy Project. During law school, she also interned with the GBLS housing unit, the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, and the Political Asylum/Immigration Representation Project.
For a year after attaining her B.A., Nicole worked at Raphael House, a shelter for families experiencing homelessness in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, as part of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
