John Busbin worked at Western Massachusetts Legal Services (WMLS) for over 35 years before the program joined with Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts to form Community Legal Aid in 2011. John has worked as a paralegal handling cases involving family law, veteran’s benefits, unemployment, public utilities, elder law matters, and eviction. He currently provides legal advocacy for tenants in eviction cases in the Western Housing Court as part of the Housing Court Intervention Program. He has designed and delivered numerous trainings for client groups, social services providers, and community forums over the years. John is a U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran and graduated from Los Angeles City College and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies.
