Wendy Berg worked at Western Massachusetts Legal Services (WMLS) for over 22 years before the program joined with Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts to form Community Legal Aid in 2011. Wendy works in the family law unit and handles complex custody, divorce, support, visitation, and domestic abuse matters. Wendy worked in WMLS’ Holyoke office in the summer of 1986 as a legal intern, and then participated in the Western New England College School of Law student clinic program in WMLS’ Springfield office during the 1987-88 academic year. Wendy started WMLS’ first Mass. Bar Foundation-funded Family Law Advocacy Project in Franklin County in 1990 and was instrumental in the expansion of the project to Hampshire County. In addition, she was involved in the implementation of the MBF-funded limited representation project, created in collaboration with the Hampshire Probate and Family Court in 2002. The model project expanded to include the Franklin Probate and Family Court in 2003. Wendy has participated as a panelist in continuing education trainings and has served on the Hampshire Probate and Family Court mediation committee.
