SUMMARY:FREE Pro Bono Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Training
DESCRIPTION:Community Legal Aid\, with the assistance of four pro bono superstars\, is holding a FREE presentation and training on Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Filing on August 22\, 2024 from 2 – 4 p.m. over Zoom. \nExperienced bankruptcy practitioners and long-time pro bono volunteers with Community Legal Aid—Attorneys Jonathan Goldsmith\, Eric Kornblum\, David Ostrander\, and Gary Weiner—will provide an overview of: \n\nWho is eligible to file\nWhat debts are subject to discharge\nHow to prepare and file a petition\, and\nPreparing for your trustee meeting\n\nThere is no cost to attend this training; however\, we expect attendees to accept at least 2 pro bono bankruptcy referrals from CLA in the year following the training.
