SUMMARY:Hampden County Conciliation Project (In-Person)
DESCRIPTION:The Hampden County Conciliation Project\, a collaboration between Community Legal Aid (CLA) and the Hampden County Bar Association (HCBA)\, assists litigants who have made a court appearance and whose case the presiding Judge believes would be better resolved through the assistance of a trained neutral conciliator. \nCLA is seeking volunteers for this Project to help with in-court conciliation. This registration page is for in-person ATTORNEY signups only – NOT LITIGANTS.  \nVolunteers sign up for 4-hour shifts (9AM to 1PM). The Court will send the respective parties to conciliation at the time of their court appearance. CLA and HCBA staff assist with intake and case processing.

SUMMARY:Housing Court Training for Attorneys - Hampden County
DESCRIPTION:The Hampden County Bar Association Legal Clinic\, in partnership with Community Legal Aid\, will be hosting a Housing Court Training to train attorneys in a new area of practice. \nThe Training will be held on Wednesday\, March 27\, 2024\, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse in the Commissioners Room. The Training will prepare volunteers with a basic overview of Housing Court Law and tools to assist landlords and tenants in a “Lawyer for the Day” (LFD) capacity.
