Pro Bono Spotlight: Attorney Jonathan Molleur
Through the Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) between Community Legal Aid (CLA) and UMass Memorial Health Care, Attorney Jonathan Molleur assisted a client and her two young children – one of whom was an infant requiring frequent hospitalization — facing bad conditions in their apartment, including a recurring mice infestation, lead paint, a broken refrigerator, and a malfunctioning heater. After the client reported the bad conditions to her landlord and the Board of Health, the landlord retaliated against the client by filing a no-cause eviction.
Attorney Molleur spent 18.7 hours assisting the client in fighting the eviction and securing the necessary repairs to the unit. He successfully negotiated with the landlord to have the eviction dismissed and the client was awarded $10,000.
Attorney Jonathan D. Molleur, Managing Partner at Legal Advocates Group, LLP, focuses his legal representation in the areas of landlord/tenant disputes, police misconduct, consumer protection, and criminal defense.
Attorney Molleur graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2017. He is an active member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, Massachusetts Bar Association, Worcester County Bar Association, and Bar Advocates of Worcester County. Attorney Molleur is also an active participant in the local legal services programs for Middlesex and Worcester Counties where he volunteers in the Housing Court representing tenants of all income levels.
Thank you, Attorney Molleur, for securing housing and financial stability for this family!
