Guardianship of Incapacitated Persons Workshop Description:
The process for seeking guardianship to be able to support young adults with special needs can be a stressful and overwhelming process. In this workshop, the presenters will break down the process and requirements for becoming the guardian for an incapacitated adult, with a focus on guardianships for young adults between 18 and 23 years old.. The goal of this workshop is to provide legal education and information to community members who may not have an attorney and would like to learn more about the process of becoming a guardian for an incapacitated person in their lives, including the rights of the individuals and obligations of the guardians.
This is the final instalment if the 3-part series of zoom presentations on topics related to Guardianships for minors and incapacitated persons. The presentations will be recorded.
