Pro Bono Spotlight: Nicoletti & Brown, LLP
Springfield-based Attorneys Patrick Nicoletti and James T. Brown of Nicoletti & Brown, LLP. represent clients in all aspects of civil litigation including housing, business law, personal injury, discrimination, tort, property, contracts, products liability, estate planning, and criminal law. Attorneys Nicoletti and Brown both graduated with a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law in 2009 and 2013, respectively, and were admitted to the bar in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the same year as their graduations. Both attorneys strive to take a client-centered approach by offering personalized legal solutions and appreciate that that hiring a lawyer can be a difficult and financial hardship for clients. The firm therefore offers options to make representation financially possible, and they leverage technology and networking resources to minimize costs, passing the savings on to their clients.
This client-centered approach applies to their commitment to pro bono service as well. Attorneys Nicoletti and Brown both joined Community Legal Aid’s (CLA) pro bono panel in 2014, and quickly became active participants in CLA’s Western Division Housing Court Lawyer for the Day program. This program, in partnership with the Hampden County Bar Association, is an in-person Lawyer for the Day program that recruits volunteer attorneys to provide counsel and advice and/or Limited Assistance Representation (LAR) to litigants who have a housing court case on that day. Through this program, Nicoletti & Brown have collectively represented 323 litigants in the past 9 years, offering legal advice and guidance to clients facing eviction, participating in mediation, providing in-court LAR representation, and accepting full representation referrals for affirmative conditions cases. Throughout the years, clients have consistently praised the firm’s professionalism and guidance.
CLA is incredibly grateful for the support of Nicoletti & Brown and for their demonstrated commitment to helping clients in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
Thank you, Attorneys Brown and Nicoletti!
