Cate Spirgel
Staff Attorney, Housing Law
Cate Spirgel recently graduated from Northeastern University School of Law and sat for the Massachusetts Bar Exam in July 2025. During law school, she focused on public interest work with a strong commitment to client-centered advocacy. In her final year, she participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic, supporting survivors navigating complex family law matters.
Cate has interned in a variety of legal settings—from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office to the U.S. Attorney’s Office—gaining experience in legal research, writing, and working with diverse communities. She also spent several summers at the Legal Aid Justice Center in Falls Church, Virginia, where she helped connect Spanish-speaking clients with legal resources.
Cate is excited to join Community Legal Aid and contribute to its mission of expanding access to safe and stable housing. Outside of work, she enjoys distance running, spending time outdoors, and—despite being gluten-free—searching for good pasta in the North End.
