Receiving the Katharine F. Erskine Award were, from left, Julie A. Jacobson, Worcester’s assistant city manager for economic and neighborhood development; Judy Freedman Fask, a professor and director of the deaf studies program at the College of the Holy Cross; Christine C. Kardokas, who recently concluded a long career at the Worcester Public Library and who was active in numerous city organizations; Dr. Jane A. Lochrie, a Fallon Clinic physician and associate director of the internal medicine residency program at St., Vincent Hospital; and Arose W. Nielsen, a staff lawyer at Legal Assistance Corp. of Central Massachusetts. The awards are presented in memory of the late Katharine Erskine, an advocate for women for 80 years.
