Pro Bono Spotlight: Attorney Lillian Chukwurah
Attorney Lillian Chukwurah founded her own successful law practice while simultaneously supporting multiple Community Legal Aid Pro Bono programs. Since 2015, Attorney Chukwurah has lent her time and expertise as a volunteer with our Worcester District Court Small Claims Lawyer for the Day Program, the UMASS Medical Legal Partnership Program, as well as our Probate and Family Court Remote Lawyer for the Week Program. Attorney Chukwurah has provided pro bono representation in nineteen cases to date in multiple areas of law including immigration, debt collection, family law, and guardianships.
When asked why she chooses to volunteer, Attorney Chukwurah stated:
“CLA gives me the opportunity to give back to the community and provide the much needed legal assistance to the low income members of our community. The work CLA does is unmatched and I am glad I get to be a part of it.”
