The Worcester Fair Housing Project, established in 2006 with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funding, is a partnership between Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts and the City of Worcester.
Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts is a non-profit organization that provides free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents of Worcester County. Over the last several years Legal Assistance has developed an expertise in, and devoted substantial resources to, fair housing education, outreach, investigation, testing, and litigation. The City of Worcester’s Office of Human Rights strives to ensure that all city residents are treated fairly and equally by reducing bias, bigotry and prejudices. Through outreach, educational programs, events and advocacy the office promotes ways to increase respect in our community and safeguards equal access and opportunity for all.
