Community Legal Aid, with the assistance of four pro bono superstars, is holding a FREE presentation and training on Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Filing on August 22, 2024 from 2 – 4 p.m. over Zoom.

Experienced bankruptcy practitioners and long-time pro bono volunteers with Community Legal Aid—Attorneys Jonathan Goldsmith, Eric Kornblum, David Ostrander, and Gary Weiner—will provide an overview of:

• Who is eligible to file
• What debts are subject to discharge
• How to prepare and file a petition, and
• Preparing for your trustee meeting

There is no cost to attend this training; however, we expect attendees to accept at least 2 pro bono bankruptcy referrals from CLA in the year following the training. Mentorship is available and will be provided to new practitioners on any CLA case at their request.
