North Adams, MA: Community Legal Aid will hold a Northern Berkshire information session on Massachusetts family law. Community Legal Aid is a non-profit organization that provides free legal services annually to over 700 low-income and elderly residents of Berkshire County. The information session, which is free and open to the public, will be led by Community Legal Aid Attorneys Brittany Noto and Franci Gazzaniga. It will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the community room at North Adams Public Library, located at 74 Church Street. This information session, a collaboration between Community Legal Aid and the North Adams Public Library, is the second event in a series of Know Your Rights presentations that will be held in 2026. The first session took place in January and covered Housing Law. Other presentations may include topics such as Public Benefits Law, Education Law, and other topics of interest to the Northern Berkshire community.
At the event, Community Legal Aid will provide important general information on common issues people may have related to Massachusetts family law, including filing for divorce, obtaining restraining orders, child custody and support, and other court-related family law issues. The info session will not include one-on-one consultations with an attorney, but attendees may apply for Community Legal Aid’s assistance at the event.
