Former Worcester mayor and legal aid president Paul Mullaney dies at 97
On behalf of CLA, Executive Director Jonathan Mannina made the following statement on the passing of Paul Mullaney:
“Longtime Worcester public servant Paul Mullaney recently passed away just shy of his 98th birthday. In addition to his many acts of public service, Judge Mullaney was one of the first Board members of the Legal Aid Society of Worcester, the original legal aid program in Worcester that eventually became CLA. He was first appointed in 1958, became President of the Board in 1969, and served many years as an active and engaged Board member in the early years of legal aid in Worcester. Paul was a great man whose legacy lives on at CLA.”
