Emily graduated summa cum laude from Boston University, where she majored in cultural anthropology and psychology and minored in political science and French. While at Boston University, Emily interned with the Refugee and Immigrant Employment Services unit at Jewish Vocational Service (Boston) and worked as a tutor in an ABA kindergarten classroom in a Boston Public School. Following her undergraduate studies, she enrolled in the dual J.D./M.S.W. program at Boston College School of Social Work (BC SSW) and Boston College Law School. During her time at BC SSW, Emily concentrated in Macro Social Work in the field of children, youth, and families – studying topics such as child and adolescent trauma, refugee and immigration issues, and social welfare policy. She interned with the Boston College Research Program for Children and Adversity and the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program at Ascentria Care Alliance. She also has experience providing in-home behavior therapy for children with autism spectrum disorder. During law school, Emily interned with the citywide Director of Immigration Services at Legal Services NYC and the Immigration Unit at MetroWest Legal Services. She represented families in special education matters through the BC Law Child Health and Education Clinic and served as a Student Attorney with the BC Law Immigration Clinic. In addition to her internships and clinical work, Emily served as Co-President of the BC Law Public Interest Law Foundation. Emily graduated cum laude from Boston College Law School in 2024 with Public Interest Distinction and Pro Bono Excellence. She also received the Drinan Award for public service.
