Julia Popkin

Staff Attorney, Education & Disability Benefits Project

Before joining Community Legal Aid, Julia worked as a public defender representing clients in child protective proceedings at the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Northampton, MA and at Brooklyn Defender Services in Brooklyn, NY. During law school, Julia was an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberties Fellow and was awarded the Ann Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for Outstanding Clinical Work for her practice as a clinical student representing parents in child protective proceedings. Julia is also a member of the Franklin County Bar Association and serves on the Community Fund of the Franklin County Bar Association.
