Uri Strauss

Staff Attorney, Housing Law

Uri joined Community Legal Aid in 2012. He is a staff attorney in the Housing Unit, where he represents tenants in eviction cases and homeowners in foreclosure matters. Prior to joining CLA, Uri worked for the Western Massachusetts office of the American Friends Service Committee, where he focused on foreclosure and civil rights matters; the Service Employees International Union, where he was involved with campaigns to win recognition for hospital workers; and the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, where he handled discrimination, immigration and tax matters. Uri also interned in Greater Boston Legal Services’ Employment Unit, where he handled unemployment insurance, FMLA, tax, and wage and hour cases. Uri is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and the U.S. District of Massachusetts.
