Paul Schack

Coordinating Attorney, Housing Law

Paul worked at Western Massachusetts Legal Services (WMLS) for over 17 years before the program joined with Legal Assistance Corporation of Central Massachusetts to form Community Legal Aid in 2011. He has also been in private practice, representing clients in criminal defense, family law, landlord/tenant matters, and consumer law. His legal career began in 1984 at North Shore Community Action Programs administering one of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s local consumer protection programs. His areas of expertise include eviction defense and public and subsidized housing admissions cases. Paul also has experience in public benefits and unemployment cases and extensive litigation experience, including appeals in the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court. He has conducted legal clinics and provided training for volunteers and community education for agencies and client groups. Paul served on the Housing Court Committee of the Supreme Judicial Court’s Access to Justice Commission. Paul is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and the U.S. District of Massachusetts.
